ABOUT ME

I was born on 13th of April 2007 in the small Estonian town of Võru. My career as a jumper began when I was two years old, after my father slid down the landing hill of a K30 with me between his legs. I was so small that the only thing I knew to utter was "Cool!". After that, the rest was history. While other kids were taking their midday naps, I was on my way to the hill with my dad. For the first year, we were forced to adapt to my small size by using slalom equipment instead of real ski jumping equipment, which made me getting my very first ski jumping skis even more sweet. My very first jump was from a K-10 hill at Otepää when I was three years old.

The summer after I turned four, my family relocated to Finland and I started to train on my new home hill in Helsinki, where I had also won my first international competition. After a few years, I was also included in the Lidl Group, which consisted of Finland's most promising young ski jumpers of the time. In 2017, a need for bigger hills arose which prompted me to turn my sights to Lahti where I joined Team Saukko under the trainer Ari Saukko. For approximately four years, we drove 1000-1200km a week to and from Lahti due to my training sessions.

In the autumn of 2021 we relocated the whole family once more, this time to the alpine village called Oberstdorf in Germany. All in the name of ski jumping, which had over the years grown from my hobby to a professional career. German as a language was extremely hard, but paired with school and training, I picked it up quite well. Since the big move, I have made my debut in the World Cup, taken part in ski flying competitions, made a lot of new friends, and overall developed tremendously as a professional athlete. The goal though remains the same, to eventually belong to the top of the ski jumping world.
